Sorry that the factory delete this settings on the new released android 5.1 system.
And actually you can share the WiFi hotspot from your smartphone, then our unit can also connect to the internet via your WiFi hotspot.
There is a way shared from one of our clients, maybe it’s not suitable for all of you who have the first kind WiFi problem,but you can have a try.


“Just used an typical WiFi antenna from an old router and brazed it on same point as the old antenna was. I did not remove the old antenna just added a second one on the old antenna output, works really good.”


2. After used for a period of time, the WiFi could not be opened, but the USB port works.
It’s the built in WiFi module defective or broken, you can buy a WiFi dongle to receive WiFi signal and connect to the internet.

3. Neither the built in WiFi could be opened nor the USB port could be used any more.
It’s the built in WiFi/USB switch module on the mainboard defective or broken, you can return it back to us for repair or exchange.

With an ISO adapter for my old car this Pumpkin android car dvd gps was quick and easy to fit. It works well, including the DAB add on – though the DAB app is a bit cluncky. All other apps are good, and it has access to the Play store so you can download your favourite apps. This  came with Google Maps – which is my preferred nav app, and once connect via a wifi hotspot from my phone worked great with traffic updates. The rear camera functionality is good to – though the camera is a bit bulky – but the picture is fine. Fitted easily in my double din aperture – note you do not need to fit the bezel which is included in the dimensions given.
Sound quality is good, DAB noticeably better than FM. I’m extremely happy.

It’s only been 24 hours since I have installed this android 5.1 head unit but so far so good. Extremely impressed with this item as it seems the company is eager to please based on the literature that is provided with the unit itself. Relatively easy hookup, awesome and great response from the touch screen. Although I have not had a chance to dive deep into the functions of this unit. Up to this point I have no complaints. The rear view camera quality is not the best but it does work descent during day time hours. Unfortunately I had recieved a different unit prior to receiving this one from another seller, complete piece of junk so to have no issues with this one is quite a relief. For the price this unit definitely has satisfied my needs.

After removing your original radio, you will find two cable harness like the above picture shows in the red circle, please leave them alone. You just need to connect the power cable from us to Pumpkin unit, and please notice, the Canbus box should be connected, otherwise the unit will not turn on, cause the unit is turned on by the Canbus signal which need to decoder from your car Canbus system.


There are three connector from one side of the special extension cable. We mark them with three number in order to make the connection easily to be understood.

Before you connect these three connector to your car, you first need find the unit under truck of your car, then connect the corresponding plug correctly.


Normally if your car is right hand driver mode, you can find the unit under the left truck, please refer to the attached picture. The left hand driver car has the unit under the right truck.

The NO.1 plug is used for Canbus signal output from your car to our unit.

The NO.2 plug is used for providing power for the unit.
The NO.3 plug is used for directly connect our four couple speaker wires to your car speaker.

Please notice:
If your car has Fiber Optic amplifier or other external amplifier built in,then your car has digital sound processor,
and Pumpkin Car Stereo DO NOT support that,you will need to buy the special extension cable from us.
Our unit will work with car speakers directly , but the factory optic fiber amplifier will NOT work again.
