Normally our android head units have the built in WiFi, you can open it to search the surrounding WiFi signal and have access to the internet.After using Pumpkin Andorid Car GPS Radio for quite a while,some customers may have some issues to the built-in wifi.


If it really happens, please follow the corresponding suggestions to check and solve the issue.


1. The built in WiFi could be opened and connected, but the WiFi signal is poor or sometime the connection breaks.
This may have relation with the WiFi source you connected, please check if the WiFi router to the car distance is at the range of 3-5m.
If the car gps dvd player you bought have the android 4.4 system, you can go to the Settings–WiFi to turn on the “Avoid poor connections” and “WiFi optmisation”.



Sorry that the factory delete this settings on the new released android 5.1 system.
And actually you can share the WiFi hotspot from your smartphone, then our unit can also connect to the internet via your WiFi hotspot.
There is a way shared from one of our clients, maybe it’s not suitable for all of you who have the first kind WiFi problem,but you can have a try.


“Just used an typical WiFi antenna from an old router and brazed it on same point as the old antenna was. I did not remove the old antenna just added a second one on the old antenna output, works really good.”


2. After used for a period of time, the WiFi could not be opened, but the USB port works.
It’s the built in WiFi module defective or broken, you can buy a WiFi dongle to receive WiFi signal and connect to the internet.

3. Neither the built in WiFi could be opened nor the USB port could be used any more.
It’s the built in WiFi/USB switch module on the mainboard defective or broken, you can return it back to us for repair or exchange.

2. Nach dem Autoradio mit navi läuft seit einiger Zeit, die WiFi-Option konnte nicht geöffnet werden, aber der USB-Port kann funktionieren.Dann vielleicht die eingebaute WiFi-Modul ist defekt oder gebrochen, kann man einen WiFi-Dongle um WiFi-Signal zu empfangen und mit dem Internet verbinden.

Habe das Pumpkin autoradio 2din ohne große Probleme in meinem Wohnmobil (Fahrgestell Mercedes Sprinter 906) eingebaut und bin sowohl mit den Eigenschaften , mit dem Qualitätseindruck, Bildqualität und dem Klangbild (läuft allerdings über Verstärker) sehr zufrieden. Navi und RFK funktionieren.
Ebenso konnte ich die Alarmanlagen problemlos “durchschleifen”.
Gemessen am Preis, ein sehr gutes Angebot.
Auch empfehlenswert die beiden Drehknöpfe zum Einstellen der Lautstärke, Sender..etc., da diese, besonders während der Fahrt, sehr viel bedienungsfreundlicher sind.
Leider fehlte die GPS Maus bei der Lieferung.


Eine dbzgl. Reklamation wurde zwar unverzüglich von Pumpkin beantwortet, eine Ersatzlieferung wurde schnell geliefert.Einstellungen /Setup sind mit etwas Übung intuitiv zu bewerkstelligen.


Fazit: Geht man (optimistisch) davon aus, dass die unvollständige Lieferung ein “Ausrutscher” war, ist das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis, gemessen an dem Preislevel bekannter Premiummarken, unschlagbar günstig und ein durchaus empfehlenswertes Produkt.
Anmerkung für die Wohnmobilisten: Das Autoradio GPS verfügt über keine Fernbedienung. 
Abschließend möchte ich den hervorragenden customer support von Pumpkin erwähnen, der mich in jeder Phase der Reklamationsbearbeitung effizient und pragmatisch unterstützt hat. Viele Dank dafür!
