Today we’ll show you what Pumpkin‘s customers say about one of our best selling headrest video monitor10.1 Inch Universal Car Headrest DVD Player Multimedia Monitor with leather cover.

10.1 Inch Headrest Video Monitor

I purchased 2 of these lcd monitor headrest monitors and installed it in a Lexus RX350. I liked the fact that I could install power permanently in the vehicle thereby minimizing wire clutter. I ran the wires through the seats and out the bottom and connected the power wire to an accessory power source in the middle console (cigarette plug) to ensure that DVD player is off when car is turned off to avoid battery drain. I connected the RCA plugs together from each unit to allow each DVD to be able to play its own DVD while also being able to watch the other DVD player/ Due to my inexperience, locating the right power source and the fact that I removed both front seats to install power to the center console, it took me over 4 hours.

Picture quality: The picture quality is really good when playing DVD’s. However I did notice some video quality degradation when watching the video being played from the other unit. This is caused by the analog RCA plugs and is expected. The screen is big and I like it.

Sound: The speaker sound is decent, but not loud. Using the wireless headphones is better and the sound quality is really good. I have not tried the sound through the radio as it wasn’t important to me.

DVD Player mount: The DVD player mount was easy installation and one screw removed allows the entire unit to be removed leaving the mount in the headrest. One thing I noticed is that the DVD Player has vibration when I drive and the unit bounces up and down.

Remote Control: The remote takes some time to figure out and I did have a problem that when I used it on one, it also controlled the other unit making it challenging to use at times. I wonder what the impact will be when both kids are trying to play the games at the same time. I like the fact that this unit also has controls on the face of the DVD player making it easier to control.

DVD Player: I liked that loading a DVD was from the top and that you didn’t have to go to the back of the unit. Easy loading.

Games: Surprisingly, the games that come with the DVD player provide a lot of entertainment for the kids, They like the games. They had not played the games at the same time so I do not know if there are any problems with the remote control controlling the other unit.

Headphones: One of the reasons I selected this unit was for the folding headphones (the other reason was for the top loading dvd disc). I would have prefered the other headphones as these seem to be less quality. But they work very well. (BTW, one headphone didn’t work when I received it, but the seller immediately sent me another. Excellent Customer Service.)

In all, I am very pleased with the DVD player.
